Deep Waters: Missional Community Intensive - Our Kingdom Outpost Incubator

The Shalom Vision of the Kingdom of God remains a vague notion for the Church today and the subversive values of Jesus are rarely seen in action.  This reality is an indictment given Jesus’ command to seek first the Kingdom of God.  What is needed is transformation.  As Romans 12:2 states, “Do not be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Deep Water is a formation process that will equip you to embody the Kingdom of God in your neighborhood.

Kingdom Outposts are small committed missional communities that embody the subversive values of Jesus. Deep Waters is a 1 year incubator for living in a Kingdom Outpost.  You will experience a deeper inward life with God, a deeper sense of solidarity with the poor and a deeper belonging to gift evoking community.  Deep Waters will transform your life to be more aligned with the Kingdom of God.

Course Components

In Person

Our in person process trains small groups to become a Kingdom Outpost. Each person commits to learning more about prayer, service and community.

Group Meetings: Along with their ReWire facilitator, the community meets for a shared meal for 2-hours, once per week.

  • Homework: During the week you will be asked to follow the daily activities outlined in your guide, read a book, pray and journal your reflections.

  • Sacred Circle: At the start of each weekly class you will share your reflections from the week with your community.

  • Activities: Your group will research and select a ministry to serve the marginalized in your neighborhood. Your group will adopt this ministry and build relationships with its members throughout the year.

Facilitator: Whether in person or online, Deep Waters will be facilitated by an experienced ReWire team member
