The Ignatian Adventure Spiritual Exercises Group

The Ignatian Adventure

St. Ignatius is a pivotal figure in the history of Christian spirituality and contemplative prayer. His work, The Spiritual Exercises is a profound guide into deeper experiences of God in everyday life. Fr. Kevin O’Brien writes: “For Ignatius… the primary instrument to discern God’s call in our lives is the Spiritual Exercises. Through the Exercises, we grow in faith, hope, and love. In them, we prepare for and sustain ourselves in the service of God and others. More than a book, the Exercises are an experience, a great adventure to the heart of God and, therefore, to the real and present needs of the world.”

The Ignatian Adventure Group will traverse this 32-week journey together using Fr. Kevin O’Brien’s The Ignatian Adventure: Experiencing the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius in Daily Life as a guide. Engaging the Spiritual Exercises as a group adds integral levels of accountability and mutual discovery throughout the process.

Groups will meet weekly for 1.5 hours online for reflective sharing and group direction, under the care and leadership of experienced ReWire facilitators. The entire Ignatian Adventure group journey will be hosted virtually, live in the ReWire Hub. ReWire Hub cohort spaces are private and designed for dynamic group interaction and easy connection.
